A weekend of firsts! Is that even a word? Firsts?

First of all my weekend feels like it just blew by! Wasn't it just Saturday?!?!?! We were home on Saturday just enough time to get a nap in before we headed out for the husband's game, which they won! Our friend Will, my husband's team mate. scored his first goal, I was sitting next to his wife and she was just as excited as he was! After the game we all went over to another teammates house for a BBQ, a celebration BBQ for the win. Great fun, great food, great people, always a winning combo:) We got home late, around 10 o'clock, I got everyone ready for bed and knew that 7:30 was going to come way too fast.
We were up at 7:30 and on the road within the hour. Another 3 games of hockey today, 1 for the husband and 2 for T-Bone.  Husband's team had to forfeit due to a  lack of players but they still played, got a good workout in at least. After his pick-up game we had an hour or so before T's game was to start. My tummy was a rumbling so lunch was next on the list. We decided on The Cheesecake Factory. My husband and I like to keep our lunches light, so we ordered a salad and shared it. It was good but I could have made a better one at home. They gave us sliced bananas for E so she was happy, T had chicken with mashed potatoes.
T killed it in her first game, I stopped counting after 10 goals that she scored. She is only 9 but the coaches have been trying to challenge her so they have had her playing with the older 10 and 11 year old boys.  Se is still a little timid out there against all these boys who tower over her, she is about 50 pounds soaking wet and these boys are way bigger than her. Needless to say she brought it!!! In the last couple minutes of the game she scored one of the best goals ever! The crowd went CRAZY! Everyone was on their feet. Her first goal with the big kids! It was awesome and she was on cloud 9, I think she was still there this morning:) The coach gave her the puck and one of the parents is going to engrave it for her. What a great  and proud moment for her dad and I. Grammy and Nonas were there too, it was awesome! There is no better feeling as a parent to see your child feel so great about herself.
What a BUSY but GREAT weekend full of smiles, cheers, laugher and love. I could not have asked for a better time. These are the moments that a parent keeps close to their hearts and forever in their memories. Sorry for such a long post and hopefully you don't get bored, but how do you make a weekend like that into a small post?!?!?! Here's to a great week friends....
