A very productive day!

I love when I have productive days, when I get things done. This heat has been killing me and today I finally got some things off my check list. Baby didn't sleep very well lastnight which in turn means that mama didn't sleep either. Needless to say I was not looking forward to bootcamp this morning, but I knew that once I got to bootcamp I would be ok. The weather was MUCH cooler than it has been, thank goodness. We followed a Nike App, it was a 45 minute workout that kicked all of our butts, I am sure I will be feeling it in the morning. I had a great cardio workout during our run though. I hate running but I know running is a big part of weight loss so I just grit my teeth and bare it. By the time the class was over I was spent! Totally exhausted and ready to head home for an early lunch. Bootcamp, check!
After lunch with E Monster I laid down with her to take a nap before T  got out of school. I was thankful that I was able to close my eyes for a little while too, I was tired! Nap, check!
                                                 E LOVES her Mango puffs!
My husband and I had split up our two things left on the to-do list, I went to the grocery store, Fresh and Easy, my favorite store! And he took T-Bone to her dentist appointment. Check! Check!
By the time they got home dinner was already started, Chicken Salads with all the fixings. ANd by fixings I mean, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, dried cranberries, blue cheese, almonds, candied pecans, and chicken. It defiantly hit the spot! Dinner, check!
I bought us an after dinner treat, root beer floats! I'm off to make them right now! Have a good night friends and make tomorrow a productive one!!!

A weekend of firsts! Is that even a word? Firsts?

First of all my weekend feels like it just blew by! Wasn't it just Saturday?!?!?! We were home on Saturday just enough time to get a nap in before we headed out for the husband's game, which they won! Our friend Will, my husband's team mate. scored his first goal, I was sitting next to his wife and she was just as excited as he was! After the game we all went over to another teammates house for a BBQ, a celebration BBQ for the win. Great fun, great food, great people, always a winning combo:) We got home late, around 10 o'clock, I got everyone ready for bed and knew that 7:30 was going to come way too fast.
We were up at 7:30 and on the road within the hour. Another 3 games of hockey today, 1 for the husband and 2 for T-Bone.  Husband's team had to forfeit due to a  lack of players but they still played, got a good workout in at least. After his pick-up game we had an hour or so before T's game was to start. My tummy was a rumbling so lunch was next on the list. We decided on The Cheesecake Factory. My husband and I like to keep our lunches light, so we ordered a salad and shared it. It was good but I could have made a better one at home. They gave us sliced bananas for E so she was happy, T had chicken with mashed potatoes.
T killed it in her first game, I stopped counting after 10 goals that she scored. She is only 9 but the coaches have been trying to challenge her so they have had her playing with the older 10 and 11 year old boys.  Se is still a little timid out there against all these boys who tower over her, she is about 50 pounds soaking wet and these boys are way bigger than her. Needless to say she brought it!!! In the last couple minutes of the game she scored one of the best goals ever! The crowd went CRAZY! Everyone was on their feet. Her first goal with the big kids! It was awesome and she was on cloud 9, I think she was still there this morning:) The coach gave her the puck and one of the parents is going to engrave it for her. What a great  and proud moment for her dad and I. Grammy and Nonas were there too, it was awesome! There is no better feeling as a parent to see your child feel so great about herself.
What a BUSY but GREAT weekend full of smiles, cheers, laugher and love. I could not have asked for a better time. These are the moments that a parent keeps close to their hearts and forever in their memories. Sorry for such a long post and hopefully you don't get bored, but how do you make a weekend like that into a small post?!?!?! Here's to a great week friends....

105 already?!?!?!

It was another early morning for the Freestones, Saturdays are early morning hockey practice days. We have to be leaving the house no later than 7:30 am to make it to practice on time. The husband got T-Bone up and went down and started the coffee I was def going to need it this morning. Before I had even got out of bed the AC had already kicked on, I knew it was going to be a scorcher. But I was not worried at all, I put on my jeans and grabbed my jacket. Yes, I said jeans and jacket:) The ice rink is a cold place to be, but a nice place to be when it is over 100 outside!
Go Lady Reign!

E Monster loves watching her sissy play!

After practice it was time to get lunch. Mc Donalds for T and Subway for the husband and I:) Now it is time to relax and I think the whole house is going to take a long nice nap. We have to be back at the rink in 5 hours for the husband's hockey game, so a house nap is going to be in order. Our bellies are full and the AC is making my house a meat locker, time to go crawl under the blankets and let the rest begin!

Why do I torture myself so?!?!

It was before 7:00 am when our AC clicked on. I was thinking to myself, is it going to be a hot one today! I got T-Bone up and ready and then with the baby still sleeping I got myself ready. Knowing today was Thursday, meaning Baby Bootcamp day, I was thinking that today was going to be torture. But I knew I wasn't going to be the only one torturing myself today since I have a group of committed ladies that attend Baby Bootcamp with me. We got there at 8:30 and it was already blazing outside. We started the warm-up and every single one of us were already sweating, we all just laughed and said, "Why are we torturing ourselves like this??" My answer was, "no pain no gain," and I knew today our instructor would be bringing the pain!
We tried to convince our instructor to have mercy on our souls and let us workout in the shade, we could so our stations there but still had to get our cardio in. We did our 2.5 miles run, and then she worked us over! Lunges, wall squats, step-ups, push-ups and dips. We were all dying and complaining but we stuck with it. When it came to our cool down we all laid our yoga mats under the tree and let our babies out of their joggers. I pulled E out and to my luck she had a complete blow out!I mean It was one for the books! Just one of the many joys of being a mama:)
As I drove home I was sore, hot, and still sweaty, but man did I feel GREAT! What a feeling of accomplishment and it is not even lunchtime. Off to a lunch date with my husband and baby girl! Enjoy the rest of your day friends, I know I will!

Vlog vs Blog

I have been pondering this very question for a while now. I have been on this vlog kick for a couple months now, following vloggers left and right on youtube. I thought, looks like fun and then the more and more I thought about it I was like, fixing my hair and looking youtube ready is not really going to work. With a 7 month old at home I barley have time to take a shower, let alone shower fix my hair and look camera ready?!?! So blogging won. I can sit and write in the coziness of my pajamas and ponytail if I want. Don't judge me:)

So here we are, The Freestone Four:)

So I will sadly have to end this post sooner than I had wanted, I mean I have so much to talk about, how can this post be over so quickly! I have a crying baby next to me and a family who is hungry that I need to make dinner for. Pizza and salad for us tonight, more salad than pizza for me though!

Ta Ta for now.....
