The Last Month of Freestone Doings.

Almost been a month since I last had a chance to sit and write. How sad is that, that I haven't had any time to sit and catch my breath it seems like! We have been busy, not with so much activities but just busy with life in general. Let me see if I can catch you all up:

This was taken after a day of dying eggs and egg hunting! How sweet are they?!?!
Easter came and went and the weather was sunny out a little on the chilly side. A little bit of a bummer but at least it wasn't raining. Cory always seems to work on Easter so we always go down to my parents. We dye eggs and the girls have an Easter Egg hunt out in their backyard. They always have a couple golden eggs filled with money. Em hasn't caught on the the golden egg concept, so Tay always ends up with the big loot:) Em is just so rough, she was throwing the eggs in the dye cups, there is no being gentle in her body. My Tay was and is always nice and gentle, not wanting to spill anything. Making sure her eggs are handled with care. The baby, she could care less! It is so funny the opposites between the two girls. We BBQ'ed and just had a nice day together.

I have also been bumping up my exercise routine. The baby and I go out at least 5 mornings a week. I have pushed myself harder than I ever have and making myself get out there. I have read all kinds of articles about staying motivated and how to keep going, all of them said that if you make your exercise part of your daily routine it makes it easier. You don't even think about it, you just go it. I wish I was a better runner. Running is so hard for me.I feel like I'm awkward and that I am out of breath and my lungs are on fire after just a coupe of minutes! But, I have pushed through, it is getting better, I wouldn't say easier, but better. I can now go around 25 minutes straight. I did one morning go 30 minutes! But I have yet to be able to do it again. I will though. I have good days and bad days, I think that is normal. No matter what, something is better than nothing. I have been working out and eating right for over a month now. Sadly, I have yet to see any physical change. A little, well actually a lot, of a bummer. However, this is when I would stop and say, forget it. I'm done. Eating right and killing myself running and exercising I guess isn't for me. But I am trying to push through and I keep telling myself it will happen. Your body WILL change! It is just a matter of time. I try not to get down on myself when I get on that scale every Monday morning and the number is still the same. It is not going up, so I guess I will take that as a win, right?? The baby usually sleeps while I have her in the jogger and then when I am done I take her to her little park playground. She loves it and I burn the last of my workout calories playing with her. Win win!

We were sitting in the living room one night, the baby was on the floor coloring with her new paint marker type things that the Easter Bunny brought. She was so excited to show us what she had made, she held it up all proud!

The rest of the pics are just random doings. We have a lot of fun around our house!

Yep, this is how I found her! Hahaha!
You know my girl is still kicking booty on the ice! She's such a hardworker out there!
Love my tough girl!

So strong!
Last week we were down at my parents house and both the girls wanted to help my Dad outside. Em loves to water stuff! And Tay help spread some grass seed!

Well, you all are now up to date! Like I said, it as been crazy busy around here. I actually had to take 3 breaks while writing this. I have to write in spurts, a mom is always needed! I have a baby trying to crawl all over me right now as I try to say good-bye! Hahaha!

Have a great day, Friends!

Back on our routine

Spring Break has come and gone, sadly. But, Tay got two weeks and I loved every second of it. I love having her home. I also love that I got to sleep in a little, and that my girls liked to sleep in until 10:00 some days. I was still waking by 8 am, internal clock I guess. But I didn't mind too much since the time between when I got out of bed to when the girls got out of bed was nice and quiet and I had it all to myself. I would drink my coffee and catch up on my TiVo. Even got some chores around the house done, all before they would come downstairs. However, when it came to an early 7:00 alarm clock this morning it was like pulling teeth to get me up! Both the girls opened one eye and looked at me like, " please mama, don't make me get up!" I knew the first day was going to be the hardest. We actually got of of here on time and before I knew it, it was time to get the baby and I ready for her Art Class. It is just down at the Community Center, once a week. They paint and do crafts. She loves it, and I love that she loves it! Today we molded clay into a ladybug and she painted. She was so happy!
Flattening her ladybug.

Now on to her favorite part, the painting!

She's pretty good for 2!
Her class only runs 30-45 mins, that is all the kids will pay attention for anyway:) After class I knew I had to get back into my routine of working out. So, that is what we did. It was hard, and I was super glad it was over by the time I finished! But, I felt good and am looking forward to getting back into our daily routine. I was reading around the Internet today on ways to stay motivated to workout. And one of the ways was to make it part of your daily routine. To me, that is the easiest way. If it becomes part of your everyday then it just happens. I am having such a struggle with losing weight though, and I am discouraged most days, but I keep plugging along knowing sooner or later the weight will come off! Anyone else have this issue?!?!?!

One good thing about being back on our routine is that the baby takes an early nap and not one around 4 o'clock! She fell asleep in the jogger about 5 minutes in! And wakes as soon as I stop:) The life of a toddler!!

Have a good night, Friends!

What have we been up to??

I can't believe that it has been so long since I have written, updated, and caught everyone up to current Freestone Four doings. We have just been busy living, loving, and just being thankful. So, on that note, let me catch everyone up!

I'm thinking about taking it back, all the way back, to January when we took a 6 hour drive up to San Jose for Tay's hockey team. It is a huge all girls ice hockey tournament, one of the few in California. Now, this is the second year we have done this. Last year went great, Emily was only a tiny 1 year old who slept almost all the way up there with out a peep out of her! It was great. Not much of a view on the way up, but we enjoyed the 6 hours of chatting. This year was a little different, I got car sick!!:( I had to drive about 5 of those 6 hours. Both the girls were good. Tay played on her iPod while Emi watched movies. I couldn't complain. But man oh man, car sickness blows! We finally got there, seemed like we were never going to get there. We stayed at a beautiful Embassy Suites. Rooms were nice and clean and the whole team got to stay on the same floor. Which was nice so that we could keep all out doors open and the girls could come and go as they pleased, as long as they stayed on the floor. The tournament went by so fast that before I knew it we were back on the road for the long journey home. I told myself that I was not going to let motion sickness get the best of me, plus I was so tired from the long weekend of hockey and chasing a two year old that I just wanted to zone out. Nope, about an hour in we had to change seats and I had to drive...all...the...way..home. Bummer. But I swear as soon as we got home and settled in I was cured. Maybe I was homesick??!! Hahaha! The crazy thing is, I have never been one to get sick driving long distances, this is just a thing that has reared his ugly head in the past couple years. I hate it.
Even with a face covered in yogurt, she still is super cute!
My baby also turned two:( We took her to Goofy's Kitchen and then to Disneyland. We ended up just buying season passes, we have used them enough already for them to pay for themselves. Both my girls love Disneyland, and it just makes me love it as well. She/we had a great day just being with each other. Making memories, it's my job!
Loves the tram!

Hands up!

Brave girl!

Her and Daddy messing around!

Her favorite princess!

Two of the three best things that have ever happened to me!
We went a couple weeks later, since we had our passes, another great day. Everytime we go we try and do something a little different, so we don't get bored. This time we went and ate at the Big Thunder Ranch. All you can eat ribs, chicken, beans, and coleslaw. We were stuffed!!! Depending on your appetite, it may be one of the better deals in the park. Great food too!
Love my little family:)

Even my pickiest eater, Tay, liked this place!

So big:)

The majority of February was spent sick, between my husband and the girls someone was always sick. I swear it went through my house a couple of times, thankfully, and I should be knocking on wood, I never got it! My husband said that I should go see a doctor since I must have a super strength immune system! Hahaha! I think it is just because there is no way I could get sick and still do everything I have to do. Moms can't call in sick:)

So here we are in mid March and up until just last week, I think the ick is finally out of our house. Thank goodness!!! Tay is on Spring Break and I am loving her being home. We went and met up with my sister in law and niece yesterday at Disneyland and had a blast. The warm weather was back and it was just an overall great day to be out and about. Our husbands both aren't into the parades but we knew our girls would love it, so we staked out a spot and grabbed the girls some snacks and watched the parade. I think they all loved it! My little was dancing and waving the entire time, to see her so happy and excited makes my heart just overflow! My older daughter had the camera for this trip so that is why she isn't in many of the pictures. Usually I'm the one snapping away so both get plenty of camera time:)
Waiting for the parade..

Pretty girls!

Silly Girls!

She loves those slides!

Gotta have those hands up!
I would say that the Freestone Four are doing great! Looking forward to another week of Spring Break with Tay. Who knows what adventures next week will take us on!

Well, you are all up to date now:) Hope everyone is well!
Have a great night, Friends!

Holidays are over, now what?

All the over eating, staying up late, presents, baking, and family get togethers are now over. So, the question is, now what?

The second half of the hockey season has now started and we are back to being at the rink 4-5 times a week. School is back in session, which I was not ready for Tay to go back, I really enjoyed having her home. Our lazy mornings together are greatly missed. Only 50 +/- days left before Spring Break, but hey, who's counting?!?! Getting back into a routine hasn't been too hard, thank goodness. And we have only had one hard day this week of getting back into the swing of things. This weekend is full, filled to the brim I say! Tay has FOUR birthday celebrations this weekend, one which includes her baby sister. Can't believe that she is turning two years old in just a couple of days. We aren't planning anything, party-wise on her birthday. Just our little family, hanging out together. Probably going to take her to the park where were can play and she can enjoy her new birthday present.

Things the Freestone Four has recently enjoyed:

My birthday dinner:)

New rink jacket!

The Lady Reign won the cup!

Puzzles with Grammy

Well, that'll have to be all for now. I have a sick little that is need of Mam's attention!

Have a great day!

What We Have Been Up To..

Hello friends! This month has just flown by it seems like. The weather is FINALLY starting to cool off, thank goodness. And the trees are starting to change colors. I love this time of year. Thanksgiving has came and went and Christmas will be here before we know it. We spent our Thanksgiving at home, just the four of us. My husband got off duty that morning and was sick so he spent the majority of the day in bed trying to get better. Tay spent most of the day in her room playing Minecraft and iChatting with her buds. I grabbed a Fresh and Easy Thanksgiving meal that took me all of 15 minutes from start to finish. It was great, and dinner was outstanding! It was nice to have a low key day since were heading out in the morning for a 3 day hockey tournament in Simi Valley.

We were all in bed before 9:30! We woke up ready to conquer the day. Got up to Simi Valley around noon, checked in to our hotel and Tay was on the ice at 3:00. Out of around 30 teams, they were the only all girls team. It was great. I think many underestimated them and were quite thrown back when they played against us. We left coming in third place and the girls were happy with that. They all are such competitors that they are already talking about their next tournament.

As we come to the end of the month I am looking forward to the holiday season. Cold weather, scarfs, hot apple cider from Starbucks, and under cozy blankets on the couch.

Here are some pictures of recent Freestone doings. Enjoy!

Nevermind. Google wants to charge me for anything OVER 1GB!! WTF???

Dealing with being leftout

The Freestone Four do 99% of things together, as a family. No vacations just me and my husband, no date nights, and we are ok with that. This is the time in our lives where our main, and only focus is on our little family. We know that our girls will not be small forever and that we only have them to ourselves for such a short amount of time in both our lives. However, today I was feeling a little left out. Let me explain why...
Tay has been skating everyday for almost 2 weeks! All on her own, we are not forcing her. She has just wanted to work on stuff to make her a better player, so we have been at the rink for almost 14 days straight! So when she asked for a day off, today, we were totally ok with it. She has wanted to go to the movies and to an Ontario Reign hockey game. My husband is off today so he was going to take her to do both. There is NO way that my Em is going to sit still through a movie, so I had to pass on that. And she is not going to sit through a hockey game, so I had to pass on that also. I would just spend the majority of my time walking around the arena with her, watching the game from the tvs. Needless to say, I am feeling a little leftout. Wish I could go do fun stuff like the movies. But so happy that they get daughter/dad time. How am I dealing with it you ask? Just to remember that they are having a great time out and having fun, just knowing that makes me smile:)

November

Yeah for two days being able to blog in a row! It's the simple things I tell ya:) Tay is in her room and Emily is in there too, so I am getting a little break. I know it won't last long, but I love listening to them laugh and play together. I hope it stays like this..them being so close. Please, stay like this!

So, a little confession. I have been addicted, I mean addicted to this show called, Pretty Little Liars, anyone seen it? I am watching Season 1 on Netflix. The baby napped in the car today at the rink, I watched two episodes in the car. It was awesome! I'm a little weirded out though by one of the story lines. Let me give you a little background. The group of girls it follows are in high school, I don't know how old. Now, one of the characters is in a relationship with her very cute, English teacher. I have found myself rooting for them and hoping they don't get caught. They are such a sweet couple and I'd hate to see them break-up. But HELLO their relationship is so inappropriate, and not to mention against the law! What's wrong with me!!?? Maybe I am a little jealous that none of my English teachers were smoking like Mr. Fitz. Any time I get, when Em is napping I turn it on. Season 1 is like 22 episodes too, I think I am on episode 10. Yikes! Will they ever get caught?!?!
I feel like such a nerd watching this show!

Hottie English Teacher!

I think I am going to try and set some goals, well I don't know if I will call them "goals" but things I want to do this month. I wonder if I can set them and cross them off the list come November 30. Here they go:
1. Read a book (any suggestions?)
2.Get moving, walking, running, something, at least 3x's a week.
3.Wash my face before I climb into bed.
4.When folding laundry, directly take folded laundry and put it away. Don't leave it sitting on the washer AND dryer for forever!

I think I can accomplish these. They are small, nothing big. I'm so tired of saying I am going to do something and then not doing it. Anyone have any ideas how to do that?! Ha!

Have a great rest of the night Friends!
